Cecilia Amico

Cecilia S. Amico, age 92, died peacefully May 1, 2018 at her home. She was a treasured wife to Frank (February 2017), loving mother to Mia (Mark) Bowery and proud noni to Matthew, Marshall and Mitchell. She will be so missed by Mac, who was by her side these last several weeks.

She is survived by one sibling John (Violet) Serafini and will join four brothers and two sisters, who have preceded her in heaven. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews especially her great-niece Laura Eldon, who was devoted to her Auntie Celia & Uncle Frank and dearly loved them. Cecilia was an avid reader, crossword puzzle aficionado and wonderful cook. She had a sharp wit and remained feisty and strong until the end.

Donations may be made to St Jude's Children Research Hospital in Cecilia's name.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10AM instate 9:30 Monday, May 7, 2018 at St Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 28353 Herbert St, Madison Heights 48071. Entombment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery, Detroit. Arrangements with Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, Madison Heights.
