James "Jim" Alan Bankey, age 79, of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
Jim was born on November 3, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Norbert and Virginia Bankey. He proudly served his country with the Air Force from 1961 to 1965. Jim married Janet McLellan at the Woodward Dream Cruise in 1995.
Beloved husband of Janet for 28 years; dear father of the late Linnea (Wolfe) Jackson and Danielle (Downey) Secord; proud grandpa of Lorea, Brooke, and Allison; brother of the late Connie Hamrick. Jim is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Michael, Alan, Robert, Lisa, James, and the late Jackie; cousin Robert Sucharski; brother-in-laws: Jim (Jody) McLellan, Richard McLellan, and Charles McLellan; sister-in-laws: Debra McLellan and Patti McLellan; and cats, Buttons and Bows.
At this time, the family has chosen to remember Jim privately.
