Your Mom and Dad were a pillar in the social life of my parents, Paul and Gerry Nicosia. They were best of friends for years and years right up until their passing. My Dad sat and listened to your father tell stories and Mom always treasured your mother's opinion and sought her out for luncheon dates or little adventures like going to the eye doctor together. I too enjoyed Mary Ellen's company because when I picked up Mom for an outing, we often picked up Mary Ellen so she could come along.
What I remember most is that when Mary Ellen finally got used to Park Place, she would call my mother and tell her that she had to come live there. After 4 years, Mom made the move and Mary Ellen welcomed her to her new home. Then, in return, since Mom passed away a couple years before her dear friend, I'm sure Mom welcomed Mary Ellen into her new home in Heaven. We will always have loving memories of your family. Thank you for sharing them with us.

I remember your mom’s sweetness. Her smile was beautiful! She frequently stopped to visit with me, for just a moment ,when she was on her way to Kroger.
Years ago, when Fr Ron Henery was assigned to our parish, a group of us, including Fr Ron decided to go Christmas caroling. We started at your parent’s home...and never got any further. Your dad welcomed us in and your mom made hot cocoa for us. We sat around the table and enjoyed a wonderful visit. Gee, it was fun.
You were given wonderful parents. God bless you all.

Dear Teresa and Family:
Your Mom (and Dad) were great neighbors, fellow parishioners and friends to us. Your Mom was always so upbeat and such a happy soul. So kind, too. When we lived in M.H. your dad would often come by to discuss current events, religion, politics, etc. We had some great conversations with Al. Often times, the phone would ring and it would be your Mom telling us to send him home; she was sure we had heard enough for that day. Ha! Ha! And when we visited their home, they always made us feel very welcome. We have nothing but fond memories of them both. We won't be able to make the funeral home, but we will be thinking of you and warm memories of Mary Ellen. She lived a full life, a generous life and brought joy to many.
