I became acquainted with Virgie (Virginia), when I lived in Detroit and was a parishioner at St. Louis the King  Church. There was a group of us ladies who used to go out to eat and hit the thrift stores after Saturday  Mass. Virgie had a quick wit, and loved going to the casino (especially the one that used to be at Windsor Raceway in Canada).  Had many excursions there with our church senior group. She was a special friend of mine, we both loved to buy stuff (even if we didn't need it, because it was a bargain). We had many conversations at night, because we were night owls. My friend Ilona Bushamie, who lives in my apt. building, got acquainted with her and they loved to play games online. We both wondered why we hadn't heard from her in awhile, we both sent her Facebook messages but no answer. Then I read online of her death. Hope the casino in Heaven is better than the one here!! Rest in peace, my friend.

I loved Virginia.  We were in high school together, but we really got to know each other in the last few years.  She was so smart and had a great sense of humor.  We laughed at the same things.  And she was kind hearted.  I will miss her so much.  💗
