Born in Union, West Virginia, March 6, 1943, he was the son of the late Harlan Lee Riffe and Irene Shires Blanks. He was a US Navy veteran and served during Vietnam. He retired from Griffin Pipe and was a member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church. Daryl loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved riding his Harley and was a member of the Harley Owners Group. He was a loving husband, father and Papa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Harlan Lee Riffe, Jr.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lisa Riffe; three step children, David W. Williams, Jr., Michael W. Williams and wife Tina and Davina W. Hall and husband Larry; one brother, Robert D. Riffe and wife Margaret; one half-brother, Andrew D. Riffe; two half-sisters, Terry R. Elliott and husband Tony and Vida Parker and husband Bill; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a special friend, David Cunningham and Jason Burford who he loved as a son. He is also survived by his best friend, Coco and a number of other extended family and very dear friends.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Daryl Donald officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 5:00 p.m. The family requests everyone dress casual.
