Shirley Fulcher Eubank

She was born on April 13, 1937 in Madison Heights, Virginia, daughter of the late William Thomas Fulcher and Clara Gowen Fulcher.

In addition to her husband Harry to whom she had been married for over 62 years, and who preceded her in death by less than a month, Shirley was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, George, John and

Paul as well as three sisters, Laura Middleton, Gladys Simpson, and Gloria Rhodes.

She was devoted to her husband, family and the Lord and was steadfast in her faith. Shirley was a homemaker but had also worked in Eubank Food Store which she and Harry had owned, as well as working for a time with GE. She loved baseball which she had played in her youth. Shirley also loved being with her grandkids and had a great love of roses.

She is survived by her children, Harry Thomas Eubank, Jr., Robin Lynn Eubank, and Ret Col Mark Stephen Eubank and his wife Catherine; grandchildren, Daniel Stephen Eubank, Rebekkah Ruth Eubank, and Jonathan Thomas Eubank. She is also survived by her faithful canine companion, Cocoa.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Daryl Donald officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:30 pm on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the funeral home.
