Ronald Eugene Brown, 78 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord Monday December 18, 2017 at home.

Ronald was born in Charleston on February 18, 1939 to the late Claude & Goldie Gibson Brown. He was retired from Keen Transport and a member of the Teamsters Local 175. He was also a member of the Riverview Gospel Tabernacle.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years just two months prior to his death, Yvonne Lee “Bonnie” Brown; brothers, Edward Junior Gibson & Bill Brown.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Donna (Jeff) Smith; son, Ronald (Paula) Brown Jr; brother, Keener (Garnet) Brown; granddaughters, Samantha (Joey) Carney, Shannon Clark (Jody Sovine), Emily (Dustin) Shue, Amy Bennett, Bryant Adkins; great grandchildren, Derek (Special Care Giver), Kaylee, Landon, Ella, Bryson, Makayla, Maddox, Remmington, Raegan, Rowan, Austin & Danica; brothers-in-law, Ollie (Ivy) Stuart, Ervin (Pat) Stuart; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Stuart & Grace Stuart; and many nieces & nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday December 20, 2017 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Rev. Norvell Atkins officiating. Burial will follow with Military Rites at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.

A visitation with family & friends will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Work with Ronald @ Hubert Jones on several jobs and he always did his job in the highest respect for the customer and Hubert Jones, and he was a great man as well, one thing for sure as he trusted in God this means I'll send him again someday.
