William Anthony Soletto

William A. Soletto, 90 of Manahawkin, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at Hackensack Meridian Health-Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, NJ. William was born and raised in Plainfield NJ. William attended Plainfield High School. He served as an assistant coach for the Plainfield Blue Angels PAL football team for 17 years. He worked for the City of Plainfield traffic division for over 24 years and during his tenure also served as an auxiliary Police officer. “Bill” as everyone knew him was an avid woodworker in his spare time and after retirement followed that hobby, making everything from cabinets to lawn ornaments. He was also known as the “guy who had everything for fixing things”. If you ever needed something “ask Uncle Bill” was the normal comment. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Soletto of Manahawkin, NJ, His Son Herbert Soletto and daughter in law Ann Soletto of Manahawkin, Grandsons, Stephen Michael Soletto (Ashley) of Little Egg Harbor NJ, Bryan Soletto of Manahawkin, NJ and Great Grandchildren Luke Soletto and Kayla Soletto, children of Stephen and Ashley Soletto Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday, May 23rd 2018 4:00 – 8:00pm at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home 10 Hilliard Dr Manahawkin N.J 08050 or Thursday May 24th @ 11am for a short mass at Funeral Home. Burial will be Private.
