You Dad’s passing. He was truly a wonderful man, I will always remember his kindness and the love he showed to his Family and friends. I had a dream

Found he had passed away, It was
His way perhaps for me to tell you of

My dad Martin Adler served with you in D company, 339th regiment, 85th infantry division in WWII.  Thank you sir for your service and sacrifice.  RIP. 

Grandpa Manny lived a unique and exceptional life. He humbly downplayed his amazing adventures and overcame obstacles with the utmost bravery and pride. He had a big heart and my memories span from the days he attached my car seat to a ladder for Mardi Gras when I was 4 to his wonderful 95th Birthday and the time we shared during that visit. I was touched at how he immediately accepted my wife Tanya when we were just teenagers; she was embraced as a member of the family.  Tanya and I visited Florida many times during college and have wonderful memories. He was elated when we married and I was moved by the way he expressed his raw emotions when seeing and playing with our kids, his great grandchildren. I never grew tired of hearing stories of his youth, especially those relating to his time with the Circus and years spent in the Army in WWII. His sense of humor, which can be described in many ways, has been passed down through the generations as a constant reminder of his wit. We all have fond memories of his life and its many chapters, all of which will live on.  Of beauty and grace is that he is now reunited with his truest love in life, his wife Evelyn, our dear grandmother and great grandmother. Our beautiful memories will not be forgotten - nor will his famous “wink,” captured in the picture below.
