Born and raised in Brooklyn, she later lived in Carteret before moving to Monroe Twp. 16 years ago.
Mrs. Demby received her Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College, New York, and was the Human Resource Director at City University for many years, where she was known as "The General."
She was predeceased by her husband Benjamin, who died in 1999; and her sister Helen Meredith.
Surviving are her two beloved daughters Hope Gabor and her husband Mitchel of Woodcliff Lake and Hollis Demby-Molnar and her husband Stan of Albany, Ohio; her brother Albert Kovetz of Florida and her two cherished granddaughters Dr. Lisa Gabor and her husband Michael Santoro and Emily Gabor.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, followed by interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
