It is with heavy hearts, we announce that Eileen Klinger passed away peacefully with family by her side Wednesday March 7th, 2018 in Boynton Beach, Fl.
Born in Newark, NJ on June 10th, 1937 the daughter of John and Lillian Peters. Eileen spent many years residing in Manasquan and Wall NJ. Her love for summer was contagious. Before the time of cell phones if you wanted to find Eileen, you would just have to take a drive up to the Sea Girt boardwalk. Eileen was best known for her daily setup in her director chair, umbrella, radio and cooler from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Eileen enjoyed spending many years caring for her grandchildren Jason and Melissa as well as babysitting for many other families in the local area. Eileen enjoyed family gatherings with her son Richard, her brothers, sister, nieces and nephew. She so loved her trips to South Florida to visit her daughter Debbie, husband Kevin, and grandchildren Stefanie and Michael. In 2012, Eileen moved to South Florida to enjoy the summer weather, all year-round and be closer to her daughter.
Eileen was preceded in death by her beloved son Richard Klinger, brother John Peters and sister in law Joan Peters. Eileen is survived by her daughter Deborah Smith, son in law Kevin Smith of Parkland Florida. She will be missed by her 4 grandchildren: Jason Klinger and Melissa Aronsson and husband Austin of Manasquan, NJ, Stefanie Woods of Parkland, Fl. and Michael Woods of Huntington Beach, Ca. Also, survived by her brother Robert Peters, sister in law Susan Peters of Spring Lake NJ, sister Barbara Peters of Wall, NJ.
Private interment was held in Boynton Beach, Fl. A celebration of life service is being planned for June, in Sea Girt, New Jersey.
