I had not been in touch lately but thought of you often. I was just recently wondering what you were up to. Unfortunately I did not know of your death until two days ago or the circumstances leading up to it. I will always treasure all those Sunday's out in the river in your boat and seining on Treasure Island. Those were fun days!!

Dear Jane and family,
Since I heard of Joan's passing I have Recalled all the fun times
We had with her at Muellers. She was such a worker, so she fit right in ! Joan and my Aunts would laugh and tell stories of all the old and fun times growing up.
Joan loved her convertibles , very classy but she also was such a walker ..outdoors was her world.
About 4 years ago I met up with Joan down at the Manasquan inlet . There was an older man, who sat there and played the guitar and sang the songs that the folks requested. From country ( Joan's favorite) & Americana to show tunes, just about anything.
I know Joan went back a few times, I know I went back a few times and it was really nice . Especially nice because I know she loved the inlet , watching the boats come in , the sun going down , the music .
This Is How I will remember Joan..
I missed the funeral and I feel terrible about that but I want you
To know we are thinking of you as we remember Joan.

Dear Jane & Family, So sorry to hear of Joan's passing. Over many years, Joan (who loved to say her name was a sentence!) helped me with our CURTIS genealogy--she was a walking-book of local history, and it was so enjoyable sharing time with her & our family-history. When visiting my Mom in Rumson, we'd go to Freehold, Manasquan, etc---to The Archives! Miss her. Best,
