Robert "Skip" Zymroz
October 24, 1931 – January 27, 2019
Robert W. Zymroz, 87, of Manasquan, died Sunday, January 27, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Irvington, NJ, he lived in Union, before moving to Manasquan 19 years ago.
Mr. Zymroz was an oil mechanic for his family businesses, Fingie’s Service Station and Fingie’s Fuel Service both in Union, NJ. He was a veteran of the United States Navy Company 162 serving from 1951-1955.
Mr. Zymroz is survived by his wife Vera (nee D'Antonio); daughters, Karen Ford and her husband Ron of Toms River, Nancy of Colonia and Susan of Manasquan and 3 grandchildren, Thomas, Nicholas and Michael.
Robert, known to many as Skip, was an amazingly devoted family man who always put his wife of 60 years and 3 daughters ahead of himself. He could move mountains with his personality and smile. He always went out of his way to help anyone he knew and many he didn’t know. He touched the lives of everyone who crossed his path. EVERYONE LOVED SKIP.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 4-8pm at the Neary Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street, Manasquan, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 12 noon at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your charity of choice because not only did everyone love Skip, Skip loved everyone.
