To Barb's Family,
When Barb and I were around 13 yrs. of age and attended Bethany Congregational Church (Covenant) we made
our Confirmation in May, 1948 along with Barb Shirley Anderson; and Arlene Lindh; and two others. We were
very close friends during our time at Sunday School at Bethany. I spent a lot of Sundays going over to Barb's house with her after church, had dinner with her family, and then went to a movie usually at the Strand Theater on Hanover Street. We attended different high schools, she at West and I at Central and graduated in 1952. Once we started working and not seeing each other I guess we kind of lost touch with each other and only occasionally saw one another. I married in 1953 and have had 1 son and 3 daughters, and only a couple of times saw Barb. I just read of her passing in the paper and certainly recognized her after all these years and then remembered our good times together. I am in a motorized chair now and am so sorry I am unable to attend calling hours or her funeral. My husband, Ed, also passed away after 63 yrs. of marriage in November, 2016.
Rest in peace, Barbara, and I know we will see each other again some day.
