Richard P. Langlois, 68, of Litchfield died January 21, 2014 surrounded by his family at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Manchester on June 23, 1945, the son of Edmond and Lorette (Labbe) Langlois.
Raised in Manchester and educated in the local parochial school system, he was a graduate of Bishop Bradley High School. He honorably served in the US Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Richard was employed as a truck driver by Associated Grocers for over 37 years. During his time there he competed and was State champion in the Truck Rodeo Competition.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed flying model aircraft and was a member of the Southern New Hampshire Radio Control Club. Above all else, he was a devoted husband and dedicated family man and cherished time spent with family.
He is survived by his wife Kana (Hutchinson) Langlois of Litchfield; daughters, Kimberley Langlois of Epping and Roxanne Albert of Londonderry; sons, Mark Tremblay of Manchester and Anton Tremblay and his wife Deborah of Burbank, CA; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Claire Boyd of Loudon NH and Theresa Caron and her husband Paul of Manchester; a brother Paul Langlois of Kingman AZ; nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by a brother, Raymond Langlois.
Following cremation a memorial service with military honors will be held in the early spring at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers donations in Richard’s name may be made to Volunteer Services, VA Medical Center(135), 718 Smyth Rd., Manchester NH 03104. The McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St. Manchester has been entrusted with arrangements.
