I first met Jackie when she was 16 and I was 17.at the US Navel Air Station in Lakehurst New Jersey. Yes we both worked at the Mess hall our first real tax paying jobs. Thought we were hot stuff making $3.21 an hour. Anyway it didn't take long before we became fast friends. Bob Fanslau her step dad and I even taught Jackie how to drive. She looked so cool driving her jade green Nova around. I have many stories about her. But what I now want to say is that Jaclyn was the type of friend that we could be separated for years but the instant we were together there was no time lost. If you've been fortunate like me you have at least one of those friends you know you are blessed. So Jaclyn , (my Yackie Turtle) I know your still living in so many hearts. You did good girl! You and your beloved Ron left behind 2 exceptional fabulous young women. They will thrive because you showed them how. Colleen and Sherry, my heart hurts so much for you. First your Dad then Mom. They're together again and live forever in both of you.
Jackie we'll talk when I get there and please woman, Let me get a word in edgewise. I love you always.

Jackie was a friend and neighbor she was always kind and nice to me, my husband and daughter our girls were friends when they were in school. I fondly remember her picking those cherry tomatoes and giving some to me. I enjoyed our little chats. She was always willing for my daughter to go over there and play or drive her daughter Colleen and mine wherever they need to go always lend a helping hand. Even though I haven’t talk to her since I moved to South Carolina I always consider her friend. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out for Colleen and Sherri.
