

Charles Henry Elliott’s love of farming, International tractors, Polled Hereford cattle and family defined his life for 94 years. He went to be with the Lord, August 26, 2012 at home with his loving family after a battle with cancer.
He was born July 29, 1918 to Rolla Jay and Florence Maude Elliott of Ontario, Ohio. Chuck was known for his quiet manner and baby blue eyes. He was one of the first Springfield Township volunteer firemen, and played on the Ontario Tournament basketball team.
He married Wilma Gene (Stover) Taylor on February 20, 1955 at Ontario United Methodist Church. He was a lifetime member of Ontario United Methodist Church, a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau and Buckeye Iron Will antique tractor club. He enjoyed many decades of pulling tractors at the Richland County Fair.
He will be dearly missed by his wife and caregiver, Wilma; three daughters and their families, Mary Ellen (Bob) Tobin, David and Beth Ann; Susan (Keith) Kisling, Kristina and Kelly; Char (Tom) Yetzer, Ryan. Including his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Yetzer; sister, Mary Elizabeth Smith; and his brother, James.
Graveside services conducted by Pastor Sondra Snode will be held on Saturday September 1, 2012 in Ontario Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ontario United Methodist Church or Buckeye Iron Will Club. Special thanks to family, Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) and Galion Hospital.
