
Javetta J. Whiteamire, 87, died Sunday, December 21, 2008, at her home. Born January 8, 1921, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and June Etzwiler Bookmyer. She was the wife of Arlo Whiteamire, was an area homemaker her entire life and member of Wesley Church in Galion. Javetta was an artist, musician, and singer, with a love of all genres of music.
She is survived by three children, Janine Whiteamire, Rusty Barbara Whiteamire and Kathleen Mike Harding; four grandchildren, Laura Mark Wilging, April Maiyer, Logan Harding, and Anson Kelly Harding; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter and Walker Wilging, Austin and Elle Maiyer, and Alexandra, Anson and Anna Harding; and sister, Pat Weidner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by two brothers, Alva and Junior Bookmyer.
All are welcome to process and celebrate. Process the sorrow from losing one we dearly love. Celebrate that Mom is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2008, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
