Though reserved and to herself at times, Leona was kind, tender-hearted and caring. She was an amazing seamstress and upholsterer. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing and bird watching, especially her favorite bird, cardinals. She loved to travel the country, seeing most of the United States, and taking bus trips.
Leona is survived by her children, Wendy Will, Wallace “Toby” Jr. (Robin) Crawford and Jeff (Laurie) Crawford; 11 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Sunnicks; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Crawford, whom she married May 18, 1948; daughter, Dorothy Crawford; brother and sister, Robert Urban and Lavada Urban; son-in-law, Ron Will; and sister-in-law, June Sunnicks.
She will be laid to rest in Nova Cemetery. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to have served the family.
