
Wilma Mae Westfield, 80, of Lucas died Wednesday morning, June 12, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Westfield, a lifelong resident was born October 31, 1921 in Lucas to Royd and Jenny May Spohn, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and also worked at Daugherty's Restaurant until her retirement. Wilma enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia & Albert Lape of Lucas, Nancy Carroll & Glenn Allen of Mansfield, Cynthia & Robert Dyson of Delaware, and Debra & Jerry Walker of Bellville; five sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth E. & Linda Westfield of Lucas, Roger Westfield & Carolyn Ruckman of Mansfield, Brian & Terri Westfield of Dublin, Alan & Diane Westfield of Lucas, and Daryl & Jackie Westfield of Walton, Kentucky; twenty-four grandchildren, Albert, Ronny, Vickie, Ken, Steve, Kendra, Stacy, Denise, Brock, Kari, Nicole, Matt, Ryan, Brandon, Adam, Kara, Amanda, Hannah, Dana, Alicia, Tyler, Erica, Mitchell and Alexandra; seventeen great-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard & Jean Spohn of Lucas; and four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary & Paul Hasenzahl of Bellville, Freda & Joe Robertson of Shelby, Mildred & Lewis Shafer of Mansfield and Leona & Hank McClellan of Lucas. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Kenneth Lyle Westfield.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, June 13 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at Little Washington Congregational Church, Friday at 10:00 a.m. and will be conducted by Pastor James Berry of Berean Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Little Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
