Brenda Kay Kendall Baumann passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 surrounded by her family. Brenda was born on July 31, 1949, in Lampasas, Texas to Dean and Ken Kendall. She attended school in Austin and Marble Falls before graduating from Marble Falls High School in 1967. She attended Baylor University and the University of Texas.
Brenda and her husband, Tim, built their home themselves in the hills outside of Spicewood. She embraced the country life, enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening, barbecuing and tending to cattle and her beloved dogs. When she moved to Lakeway, she happily adjusted to “city” life. She followed all sports but especially those played by the University of Texas. She loved travelling, particularly to the mountains when it was cold and snowy. She was very involved in starting the Kendall Alzheimer’s Respite in Marble Falls. She volunteered until her illness prevented her from attending. Above all else, she loved her family. Her greatest pleasure was getting together to share a meal or celebrate a holiday with those she loved. Brenda, her brother, her parents and later her sister-in-law, had lunch every Wednesday. Her family started the tradition in 1984 and it continues today. Brenda always kept a positive attitude. She was strong, loving and always positive. She was loved and will be missed by all those who knew her.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Tim, and her father, Ken Kendall. Survivors include her mother, Dean Kendall; her brother Ken Kendall and his wife Gaylynn; her nephew, Kenny Kendall and his fiancée, Trisha; her niece, Rachel Metts; her great niece, Kenady Kendall and her mother, Mary; and her great nephew, Kannen Kendall; and numerous cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Drs. Kopetz, Aloia, and Skibber and all of the staff at MD Anderson and Dr. Chadha and the staff at Texas Oncology. We appreciate the loving care that you gave to Brenda during this long, difficult journey.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 2701 Mormon Mill Rd., Marble Falls, Texas 78654.
The family respectfully requests that those that attend wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice.
