Charles W. Cummins (Charlie) of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2022 at the age of 85. He was born October 18, 1936 in Myra, Texas to Ernest and Louise Cummins. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather Roy Brown, and brother Gene Cummins. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Cummins of Marble Falls, Texas, his daughter and son-in-law Sheri and John Leddy of Madison, Virginia, his son and daughter-in-law Chris and Serena Cummins of Brentwood, Tennessee, and three grandchildren Alexandra, Sophie and Callan Cummins, all of Brentwood, Tennessee, his brother and sister-in-law Pat and Jackie Cummins of Garland, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a devout Christian and attended FUMC Marble Falls since his retirement. He retired from an illustrious career in sales and management and enjoyed a long retirement here in the Hill Country. He was the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including Father of the Year and Citizen of the Year. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all sports, and attending his granddaughter's swim meets and volleyball games. He was very active in his church and the Marble Falls community. He sat on the Library Board and was instrumental in the success of the Library Thrift Store. He loved the Lord, his family, working in his yard, the Chicago Cubs, playing golf and people.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate his life on Tuesday, June 28 at 10:30am at First United Methodist Church Marble Falls.
The family asks that in lieu of usual remembrances a gift be made to First United Methodist Church Marble Falls or the Marble Falls Thrift Store.
