Grady Cleo Teague Jr.

December 24, 1931July 14, 2021

Grady Cleo Teague, Jr., passed away July 14, 2021 at his Round Mountain home. He was born December 24, 1931 in Welch, Texas.

Grady grew up on a farm and went to school in Dawson, Texas, until 1950. After graduation, he went to Business College in Lubbock, Texas. Later, he went to Kerrville to Bible Training work. Grady met Fayrene there at church one Sunday morning and they married just a few months later. He was drafted into the Army in 1951 and went into the medical corp. He worked as a medical technician state side and in Germany. After his tour of duty was up, he got to see his 5 month old daughter for the first time.

He went to work for the Shell Oil Company for the next 16 years moving from Texas to New Mexico and eventually working on a drilling rig off shore in Louisiana. It was time for a career change, he had all of the off shore drilling he could handle, so with his scheduled 2 weeks off and 2 weeks of vacation, Grady bought a dry cleaning business in Big Spring, Texas. Grady retired after 25 years of dry cleaning and moved to Marble Falls. He went to work in the tire and lube department at Wal-Mart for 5 years and then worked at the Library Thrift Store for 7 years and then retired again. He also preached for the Hobbs and Lovington congregations. Grady served as an elder at 3 different congregations over a period of 30 years.

Grady leaves behind his wife, three children, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a brother and sister.

It’s been a good life and a precious family. Thank you Lord.
