Maureen L. Barrie
May 30, 1947 – September 29, 2010
Maureen L. (LeFebvre) Barrie, 63, of Marblehead, passed away at her home on September 29, 2010. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Linnea (Carlson) LeFebvre.
Maureen was a graduate of St. Barnabas High School in Westchester County, NY and Salve Regina College in Providence, RI. She worked as an executive assistant for Cambridge Energy Research Association and the Boston Consultant Group for over fifteen years.
Maureen loved to read, she helped organize The Book Club in Marblehead. She also enjoyed swimming, sailing, hiking, and knitting. She was a communicant at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, singing in the choir.
She is survived by her brother, John LeFebvre and his wife Valerie of Alexandra, VA; a great-niece, Katherine LeFebvre; a great-nephew, Parker LeFebvre; a nephew, Marc LeFebvre and his wife Ildi all of Omaha, NE; and a niece, Susan LeFebvre of Scottsdale, AZ. Maureen also leaves a dear friend, Rosemary Huang of Marblehead.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead on Saturday, October 9 at 9AM. Burial in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead to follow. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Friday from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maureen’s name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

Maureen and I had our ups and downs over the years, but at some point reached a sort of mutual respect and understanding. She will be missed by both me and our family. Attached is a photo of her, Jeff, myself, Werner Erhard, and Nadja Krylov in Moscow circa 1990 - those were some happy times for us all...
