Curtis was born in Georgia and was the son of the lateCurtis W. Story, Sr., and Mary Nell Camp. He was the self-employed owner of, C&S Repairs. Curtis was a master mechanic specializing in motorcycle race engines. He retired several NHRA National Drag records, in AA and Prostock Classes.
Curtis enjoyed helping others. He had a love of boating, fishing and driving nice cars. In 1970, Curtis won the World of Wheels with his 1969 Boss-429 Ford Mustang. He enjoyed tinkering with anything, which was mechanical.
Curtis is survived by his life-partner, Judy Benedette, who he adored and loved. His son, Dennis B. Story, daughters, Jackie E. Story and Kathryn L. Benedette (Nellis). Grandkids, Jessica, Parker, Sydney, Trevor, Michael and Star; Great-Grandchild, Race.
Curtis was preceded in death by Scott “Killer” Benedette.
Curtis’s family was hold a Graveside Committal for him, at 11:00 o’clock, Friday, October 30th, 2020. It will be held on the Grounds of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, Georgia, 30060.
