Johanna Maria Ruscitti

Johanna M. Ruscitti, age 92, of Roswell, Ga (formally of New Hampton, NY), passed away on July 7th, 2018. She was born in 1925 in the Netherlands to the late Reyer and Cornelia Schoorl. She attended Monroe High School, soon after met her husband, Michael A. Ruscitti of New Windsor. Johanna and Michael married in 1944, a marriage of 48 years that ended in Michael’s passing in 1992. Johanna loved being a homemaker, so she could remain close to her loved ones. She had a huge heart and was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending quality time with family, dancing, painting, playing the organ, spoiling her pets, cooking, baking, and loved being fashionable. Johanna is preceded in death by her husband Michael A. Ruscitti, and her brother John Schoorl. Johanna is survived by her son Michael C. Ruscitti, granddaughter Rebecca L. Ruscitti of Roswell, GA, sister/brother in law Cornelia and Maurice Scandurra of Chester, NY, and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at St. Columba Roman Catholic Church, 27 High Street, Chester, NY at 1 PM, Saturday, July 28, 2018. Interment will follow at St. Columba Cemetery, Rt. 94, Chester, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider a donation in Johanna’s name to the Children’s Health Care System.

Dearest Michael and Family, My deepest sorrow to you and your family on the passing of your Mom.. I so remember her from years ago and will always remember her standing by that ironing board, Wow she ironed everything!!!! There are no words to make you feel better that will come in time a long time I am sure, You had so much time with her and we always want more, but it is not up to us, cherish the time you did have, it was so much more than some us had had with loved ones. share those memories you shared and feel those memories for they are yours and will help you get through the tough times. Just please remember one day at a time, a flood of feelings with emerge let them. Again my deepest condolences to you and yours.
