Ms Kathleen Youngblood Nurnberger

Ms. Nurnberger, is survived by sister Carol Whitaker and brother Alan Youngblood, daughter Leslie (Barry) Dunlap, grandchildren Emma Dunlap, Claire Dunlap, Laurel Dunlap and Stanley Nurnberger V, and her niece April (Ryan) Tatum and 2 nephews Matt (Amanda) and Evan Whitaker. She had 3 great nieces and nephews, Jackson, McKenna and Peyton.

She is proceeded in death by her Mother Mary Emmorette Merritt Youngblood and son Stanley Nurnberger IV.

While she was born Atlanta, Georgia, Kathy was raised in Chamblee, Georgia. Kathy earned her Bachelor’s Degree, from Georgia College in 1972.

Kathy worked for the Southern Company. Her career spanned 30 years. Kathy was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church for many years. In her early years she enjoyed fashion, sewing and cross-stitching. Later in life she took to traveling and shopping. Kathy was a huge fan of sports. Kathy loved the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. As Stanley IV attended the University of Florida, she was a dedicated Florida Gator fan! Her passion for sports just one testament to being all in for her children.

Throughout her entire life, Kathy’s children and grandchildren brought her immense, happiness and joy, into her life.

Ms. Nurnberger's family will celebrate and honor, her life, at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, May 30th, 2024, at the First Baptist Church, Chattahoochee, 1950 Bolton Road - NW, Atlanta, Georgia, 30318. Her ashes will be committed at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers; memorials can be made to either; the Alzheimer's Association and the American Cancer Society.
