Anne and I were close friends during our school
days, especially at Roosevelt Jr. High School. And we were both active members of the Lutheran Church.
We had talked by phone a few times, but the last I saw her was in 2001 at our 40th reunion from Central High School.
Even though I was in touch with her husband, Bob, during the last few long months of her life, it still was difficult to hear the news that she had passed. She will be remembered for her smile, her friendliness, her creativity, and her warm heart.
Anne William Long, you will be missed!

I met Anne thru the Newcomers group in Marion, N.C. , She was a proud and lovely lady. As I recall I think. she might have been an officer but I do know she was very active and we went on a couple of fun group outings together. I also discovered she lived in the Nebo neighborhood around the corner. We played bunco together a few times, but my health deteriorated for a while and we lost touch. My condolences to her husband and son. She always had a smile on her face and really tried to keep active in the community. R.I. P. Sweet friend!

My deepest sympathies. Anne was a neighbor and classmate both at Roosevelt Jr High, and Central Technical High School.
I would like to be advised if a memorial service is to be conducted here in NC at some future date, that I may attend .
