My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. With the quarantine in place, I know you must feel alone in your grief. Know that all who knew Doug, share your loss. His laughter and delight with his grandchildren will be missed. Also, his dedication and love of family definitely defined these last years of his life. May your memories bring peace.

My heart goes out to your family. Throughout the years it was my good fortune to have known your son, your husband, and your Dad.
I remember our early years at Terrytown playground coaching opposing teams for my son Ryan and your son Matt. I would always look forward to the games when Doug and my teams would play each other------it was NOT high pressured but filled with the kindness and sportsmanship that others could only envy. My fondest memory was of the weekend Doug and I spent at my camp on Grand Bayou. Our family stories we shared were priceless and went deep into the night. Our passion for fishing was shared as well.
