John Gilbert Detillier, Jr. passed away on Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at home. He grew up in Ama, Louisiana where he was born to the late John Gilbert Detillier, Sr. and Esther Zeringue. John was married to the late Lisa Billiot Detillier for sixteen years. He was the devoted Father to Sarah Elizabeth Detillier, Mary Beth Detillier Rhoe (John), and Celeste Marie Detillier (Corey). He was called Paw Paw by his only granddaughter Aubrey Lisa Rhoe. He is survived by his siblings Liz Prejean (Terry), Paul Detillier, Teresa Majoria (Mark), Henry Detillier, Lenore Matherne (Randy), and Alfred Detillier (Ikaha). He will be greatly missed by his close friends Bette Dee Mule and Tony Martin, his mentor, who originally introduced him to his life's work. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
This earth angel earned his wings and officially became our guardian angel when he was taken from this world too soon, leaving behind this beautiful life he created along with all of the people he impacted, everyone he loved so much, and the many people who miss him dearly. The legacy he left behind is his business, Changing Lives, one of his many business pursuits.
He spent 41 years programming computers, and the last 20 working with Textile Management. He always said that his day job was a computer programmer, but his real passion was reprogramming the human mind. He created the Tap 4 Success system to help people remove obstacles and blocks caused by negative thinking. He believed that God never gave us more than we can handle, and he truly enjoyed helping people become success stories. He was proof himself that these techniques work, and he passed this knowledge onto thousands of people. He believed everyone can achieve their unlimited potential and had the power within them to manifest their own destiny. He was a remarkable healer, EMF practitioner, and a solid reminder the world can be good.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 5th, 2021 at 12:00PM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 155 Holy Family Lane in Luling, Louisiana.
