Stephen L. Redman, age 71, of Grovetown, GA, son of Donald Lee Redman and Doris Lorraine Burnside of St. Louis, MO, entered into eternal rest at University Hospital on Friday, February 5th, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Adrienne Redman; 3 sons, Ashley Redman, Kevin (Jennifer) Redman, Jason (Kate) Redman; 2 brothers, Dr. Paul (Dyanna) Redman, Scott (Patti) Redman and 8 grandchildren.

He was born in Columbia, MO and was a resident of Columbia County, GA. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Ace Redman, Hunter Redman, Sydney Redman, Zane Redman, Ashton Redman, Alayna Redman, Lauren Hudson and Chase Hudson. He was a Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Braves fan. He was also an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed playing a good game of golf. He retired after 35 years of service as a Youth Activities Director at Fort Gordon and then Columbia County Recreation Department. He enjoyed teaching the kids to play several different sports.

He was an outstanding gentleman, who was loved by his family and friends. He shall be missed by all, but death is not the end, as he shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and loved ones. Earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain.

The family will receive friends at Elliott and Sons Funeral Home on Columbia Rd, Evans, GA Wednesday evening, February 10th from 5:00 to 7:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials, in his honor, may be made to the Columbia County Youth Sports Program.

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I hunted with Steve many years ago at Briar Creek Sportsman Club and revived our friendship when I coached my sons at CCRD. He was a good man and from our conversations, I knew he truly loved his family and the children who passed through the programs he managed. My prayers to his wife and family. R.I.P. my friend.

Steve was a very good employee and I enjoy having him on my team. He always stepped up when needed. I'm sorry I can't make it out to group functions currently, due to a heart condition.
