AYAKO SHADE

January 10, 1931November 19, 2018

Ayako Shade, 87 of Shepherdstown, passed away at her home, with her family by her side, on November 19, 2018. Born January 10, 1931 in Osaka, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Isekichi and Taki Nitta, of Japan. She was a stay at home mom and house wife to John for over 50 plus years, raising three sons. Ayako loved her family and in her spare time she would crochet and knit. She was a member of the Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church for over 40 years. Ayako is survived by her husband, John; two sons: John Jr. and his wife, Dawn, James and his wife, Ericka: six grandchildren: Isaac, Joshua, Sarah, Alex, Conner and Deanna; one great-grandchild Gabriel; a good friend Peggy Gordon and one brother, Hiroshi of Japan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth and a sister, Miyako of Japan. Her family would like to thank her doctors; Dr. Dayal and Dr. Ophas. A special thanks to Hospice of the Panhandle and University Health Care for all that they did to help too. Family will receive friends on Friday November 23, 2018 at Rosedale Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be Saturday 24 at 11am in the chapel with interment in Rosedale Cemetery immediately following.
