Dennis Joseph Boon (53) passed away on June 2, 2020, in his home in Marysville, Washington. Dennis was born to Joe Boon and Helen Gobin. He attended Bagley High School until the family moved to Soldotna, Alaska in 1981. He graduated from Soldotna High School in May of 1985. He attended Minnesota West Technical College in Pipestone, Minnesota and obtained a certification as a meat cutter in 1999. Dennis Boon was loved by many. He was a gentle soul driven by a fierce passion. His head was full of ideas and wisdom. His heart was dedicated to find healing and to love the Tulalip people. Dennis' huge smile, gregarious personality, and infectious laugh attracted people from all walks of life. His voice captivated crowds along with his talent for retelling stories. Dennis worked at various jobs as a sales associate; office manager; dining room manager for the Quil Ceda Casino and as a meat cutter for H&S Meat Processing. His true passion was singing and so he became the "Singing Bear". He worked DJ and karaoke venues for several years. His other passion, driven by his own personal healing experience, was focused on the restorative properties and uses for marijuana, CBD and hemp products. Dennis vigorously believed that these products would help with everything from skin conditions to drug addiction detox and he was determined to be a part of the process to find remedies. Dennis is survived by his dad Joe (Marie) Boon; his mother, Helen (David) Gobin Henson; twin brother, Douglas (Janet) Boon; daughter, Jaime Boon Singleton; son Joseph (Floralynn) Boon; and six grandchildren, Sequoia, Matthew, Sierra, Jason, Genesis and Edenlynn. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Job and Ruth Boon; Tom Gobin; and Wenona Cooper. A graveside service was held on June 6, 2020 in Tulalip, Washington. A celebration of life will take place June 16, 2021at 10:00 AM in Tulalip, WA
