Jeanne was a long time volunteer in my 3rd grade classroom at Cascade Elementary, which began when her grandson Christopher was in my class. She became our class "grandma" for many years. She always came with a smile on her face, hugs for the kids, and listening ear. I soon saw that she had amazing artistic skills to offer, so she was soon in charge of our art center.

Over the years we became good friends. She even had me over to house to help me paint an acrylic picture. I enjoyed the Christmas cards she sent with her husband Ben's initials always hidden in her art. Those are the only only cards I have ever saved year after year. Every Christmas I will enjoy the memories they bring of a kind and helpful friend/volunteer.

Thank you to the family for including me in some hers, and your life's celebrations. May God bless you with peace and joy in her memories.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Jeannie through the Sons of Italy.
She was such a fun person to be around. My thoughts and prayers to all of her family.

I cared for Jeanne when she was in the ICU. She was, without a doubt, one of the toughest women I have ever met. She was so sick, yet patient and so grateful for our care. And clearly, the matriarch of the whole clan. A family who loved her fiercely. I believe her love for Ben and all her kids is what got her out of that hospital. Plus, she is the only patient I have ever given coffee to on a mouth swab!
Rest in peace, Jeanne. Love to the whole Van Dam family.
