When I was very ill, Keara and her family drove 8 hours round-trip to come visit me in the hospital. Keara was honestly one of my first best friends. Playing with her on TNT, we all really were a little family. All of the trips, tournaments, wins and losses; Keara never failed to be the goofy, bright-light that she is. Keara just was the best, the put it simply. In the world today, they’re not a lot of just genuinely selfless and down-to-earth people. Keara was. She was never judge you, she would always put others first. God, she could make a joke out of anything; she was so funny and her smile and laugh was just so contagious. I think about you all the time Keara, I wish I reached out more. I wish I told you how much you changed my life for the better. I am so glad we got to play club together our last year of high school. I wish I could take your place, I know you are up there shining your light down on all of us, just as your smile did when you were here :) I love you so much Keara 

Keara and i went to get ice cream at daily scoop at mason Michigan and went to see movies at the movie theater and i want to honor her legacy and i want to fulfill her legacy that i am the one to make it happen and make it come true and i will always remember her to the end.

It’s been over a year since my friend and former classmate Keara passed away. I wasn’t the closest with her, but I did learn more and become friends with her in my senior year of high school, through a class called adult living and the large number of mutual friends we shared. I saw something incredible today, a piece of good news that seems so rare in time like this, with this international pandemic. A double rainbow, seen from all of New York City, immediately after their 7pm cheers for healthcare workers. In the book of Genesis, chapter 9, verse 13, it is said that God placed his bow in the clouds, so that after the great flood, we would see that he made a covenant to the earth, and that his grace, mercy, and love will be everlasting. I can’t help but think that Keara is up there looking down right now, watching out for us in troubling times. Losing her has been very hard, I’ve been very emotional. But even in that, she helped me find Jesus. I had a friend who only met me through Keara’s introduction of us reach out to me and say hello and check in on how I was doing with her loss. I’ve had Aunts and Uncles pray for her, and those closest to her, and I’ve had a great influence in my life, pass a song onto me called Clouds, by before we exit. And she had heard about that song from someone very closely involved in this accident. Praying to Jesus, talking to Keara up there... she really helped me by lighting my way to the lord. I struggled with immense depression, crazy hallucinations from my scizophrenia and anxiety that was through the roof, but these days, Through time and effort, I was able to move beyond that. Having faith that she is there looking down upon us, and having faith in the signs and blessings like the rainbows we saw on this day... really have solidified my faith... and I love Keara very much. Keara  truly was an amazing soul. A light. Thessalonians 4:14-4:18 

We went to movies and had ice cream at dairy scoop and she did MHs announcements I missed her so much and still thinking about her I wanted to tell her parents and her sister that I’m sorry for your loss that’s I wanted to say

Although I did not know keara personally I do know now what a beautiful soul she was. My thoughts and prayers are with you Eric and your family along with her many friends.

We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to Eric and the entire family, as well as Keara's dear friends.   

Eric and Kristi I’m so sorry for your loss, It is no mystery why Keara was  such an amazing young woman having parents like you both. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers.

Keara worked with the Kellogg Catering team for a brief time before leaving for NMU.  She was truly a light on this team, and we will miss her, deeply.  We were so looking forward to her return for the summer.  Our hearts go out to Keara's family and friends.  Please know that her Spartan family will miss her presence, and she left a stamp on our hearts.  Peace to you all in this time of deep loss.

My wife and I did not get the opportunity to meet Keara, but our daughter, Kaitlynn, was a teammate at NMU.  We have been praying for all of you. I am writing to extend my deepest sympathies to Keara's family and friends.  I was one of Keara's English professors at Northern Michigan University (NMU) last fall.  In all my interactions with her, I found Keara to be dedicated, hard-working, and positive.  Her upbeat attitude and compassionate manner helped make our classroom a better place for us all. I knew Keara when she would hang out on my floor with other soccer players and sometimes when I was sitting out in the tv room alone she would say hi to me with a smile always on her face. Also she tried to include me like sitting at the table at the Dining hall because I would sit alone there too. She was a very kind person who always had a smile on her face.

Keara played soccer on TNT for several years with our daughter Juliana.  We are so sorry to hear this tragic news.  We extend our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers to the family and friends.  -- The Figueiredo Family

Keara was an unforgettable little burst of sunshine I always remembered fondly after I had her in my class at Cedar Street in early elementary school.  My thoughts are with her lovely family.

Me and keara weren't close. But there is one thing I will never forget. I was in the same ties class as keara with Ms. Hastings. I got back from the hospital and was trying to catch up on homework and keara saw me struggling and we like never talked out side of our core classes. But she helped me get through all my work I missed and I will never forget the compassionate person she was. 

A Beautiful soul and a smile that lights up the room. Not many leave a legacy at the age of 19. 

Keara your sparkling personality and magnetic spirit will never be forgotten and greatly be missed. Thank you for touching our hearts

Keara,  you were one of the brightest spirits I have ever known. I know I was just your “hair stylist and eyebrow expert ;)” but I know that it was so much more. I enjoyed every conversation we had. Watching you grow into a beautiful young woman. Your mom was so proud, bragged. And I couldn’t blame her one bit. You were, are phenomenal person and we will all continue to see you that way forever, as you will always be shining on us. May you rest easy, perfect angel. You will forever be missed. 

I got to know Keara really well last semester. I had the privilege of being her tutor. She was so kind, funny, smart and helpful. What a wonderful girl. I am glad I got to know her, she will be dearly dearly missed.

My deepest sympathies go out to you, and I am praying for all of you.  I am a freshman at NMU, and I also lived in Van Antwerp. I didn't know Keara personally, but I recognize her from seeing her around. She always seemed to be smiling. 

I went to high school with Keara, and we were both freshman at NMU together. She was a familiar face who always made sure to smile and wave when she saw me. It helped me more than she could ever know and I will forever remember her kindness
