Mansil W. Raymond, age 77, died March 27, 2014. He was born on July 19, 1936 to Clare and Margaret (Kimmer) Raymond. Mansil was a lifelong member of Mason, and he was also a member of the Mason First Church of The Nazarene. Mansil retired after 33 year as an Automotive Driver with General Motors. He served for 30 years with the 119th Field Artillery in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed yard work and woodworking. Mansil is preceded in death by his son Tim (2003); daughter-in-law Diane Raymond (2005); son-in-law Terry Kirby (2011); 4 brothers and 6 sisters. Surviving are his wife Janet (Hills) of 57 years; three daughters Sheila Szichak, Brenda Kirby, and Penny (Louie) Weaver; one son Mark (Laura) Raymond; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one sister, Grace (Louis) Hanley; one brother-in-law, Vern Gibbs. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014 at Mason First Church of The Nazarene, 415 E. Maple, Mason, MI 48854, officiated by the Rev. Gerhard Weigelt. Internment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Dansville, MI with military honors immediately following. The family will receive friends Sunday, 5-7 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service. Contributions can be made to Mason First Church of the Nazarene, 415 E. Maple, Mason, MI 48854, and The National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 5018 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Mason, MI.

Sorry to hear about Uncle Mansil he will be deeply missed. Glad we could make a lot of memories and laughter out in Wisconsin.
