Mrs. Claudia Keen Arthur, age 82, of Hampton, GA passed away on April 12, 2018. Mrs. Arthur was born in Miami, FL to the late Leffie and Dorothy Keen. She is also preceded in death by her husband James Arthur and sisters June Woods and Patricia Gibson.
Claudia taught Sunday school and spent many decades singing in the church choir (often performing duets with James) sharing her passion for gospel music.
Claudia had a 35 year career with BellSouth/AT&T starting as a switchboard operator and culminating as a Sr. Business Manager. Her life experiences allowed her the opportunity to be a mentor to many young women through the years.
Claudia is survived by her daughters; Elaina Wilson and Deanna Persinger, grandchildren; Jessica Rodriguez, Jason Wilson, Ross Rodriguez, Spencer Wilson, Cody Persinger and Shelby Bassett as well as 7 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA. The family will receive friends and guests one hour prior.
