It was sad to hear one of the best man I knew and had the pleasure of working with at Lowe’s in Temple had passed away. He taught me everything I needed to know about paint and was the hardest working man in that building. He would always bring a smile to everyone’s face no matter what kind of mood you were in. You will be missed and will always be Old Man John. Thank you for all the advice and wisdom.

Mr. John was one of my best friends at Lowe's. I was blessed and privileged to work with him for seven years until his retirement. I called him Daddy. Because I loved and respected him that much. And because he could hear some call him Daddy even if the batteries in his hearing aids were low. I miss the little tune he would whistle as he worked. There were a lot of times I came to work just to see him, and on bad weather days when I could have called out I came in anyway because he had made it from Cameron and if Mr. John could make it..... I love and miss you Daddy
