When Bettye made the decision to be close with Linda and I, she asked only one thing. She wanted her apartment set up where she could close doors that would give her her own private space. As I was working to make this space for her, it was God's hands that guided me to build this space for her. In the last 12 years I have been blessed by God to have her here with us. I have not lost a mother in law, I have lost a mother a second time. I know in my heart that Linda and I will join her and Jimmy once again. I love you Mom......Wayne

A fond memory I have of when I was about 10 years old, Grandmother, Granddaddy and Cousin Kevan came out to Denver in their beloved motorhome. They spent about a week (if I recall correctly) then my Mom let me make the BIG trip back to Memphis with them to spend a couple days. Grandmother and Granddaddy loved traveling in their motorhome! Lastly, I am deeply thankful that Grandmother had the chance to meet and spend some time with her great-granddaughter, Emma. We love you Grandmother, rest in peace!

Here’s a tribute to a great Mother-in-law who put up with a “damn Yankee” for 52 years, always with a smile and a kind word. You will be missed Bettye. Rest in Peace.

My love,

Rick

I could not have asked for a better Mother to lead and guide me through this journey called “Life". I’m so grateful for you, Mother. We’ll all be together someday with you, Daddy, Nanny and Granddaddy.

Love you always and forever.

Mother I will miss you for the rest of my days. We grew so close the past 12 years you lived with Wayne and myself. Home will never be the same. If I could only be half the woman you were I would be so grateful. I love you Mother!!! 💔💔💔
