Genetta Barry Roast

Genetta Barry Roast, 93, of Germantown passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday November 9, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Memphis Funeral Home.

Born on February 3, 1925, Genetta was a lifelong resident of Germantown. She was an active member of Germantown Baptist Church and a member of the Lamplighter Club of Germantown.

She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar “Buddy” Roast; her parents, Jack W. Barry and Bess Coopwood Barry; and her sister Bess Sentell Barry.

She is survived by several cousins and many friends. Memorial contributions may be sent to Germantown Baptist Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
