Kathleen Perry-Luthi, age 87, passed away peacefully at home of natural causes on November 25 in Memphis. She was born on September 20th, 1934 in Wynne, AR to John and Blanche Spain. She graduated from Vandale High School in 1952.
Kathleen was predeceased by her beloved husband John Luthi, brothers Eugene Spain, Wilson Spain, John Thomas (J.T.) Spain and sisters Margaret Davis , Alice Story and Virginia Owens.
She is survived by sons Wilson Glenn Perry (Sarah) and William (Chip) Perry, granddaughter Laura Sallee (Will), grandson Wesley three great-grandchildren.
Kathleen was a long-time real estate agent in the Memphis area. She retired her license after
43 years of service in 2014. She gave her time and money to many charities. One organization which was particularly close to her heart was Memphis Family Shelter. The primary aim of this organization was to give mothers and their children a safe and secure environment so they could get back on their feet. Because of her extensive contacts in the Memphis community she was able to help fund raise.
She also helped counsel the mothers as well. The other love of her life was her church, Piperton United Methodist church. She supported her church in every way possible.
She will be remembered for her giving and generous spirit. She was always had an upbeat and positive attitude.
A celebration of Kathleen's life will on December 4 at Memphis Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00 PM followed by a service and reception.
