OBITUARY

Sue Childres

Clara Sue Young Childres was born in Independence, Mississippi on March 10th, 1943. She went to be with the Lord peacefully on the morning of May 16th, 2020 in her Brighton, Tennessee home at the age of 77. “Momma Sue,” as many knew her, grew up as one of twelve children born to John and Bessie Young. She worked as a talented cake decorator for Seesel’s Bakery for many years before committing to be a well-loved and dedicated grandmother. Sue was predeceased by her two sons, Richard Leon Childres and John William Childres, as well as six of her siblings. She leaves behind her love of 55 years, Leon Childres, her daughter, Leann Childres Brown (Steve), and her five grandchildren, Cody Childres(Dana), Brennin Childres(Savana), Rhiannon Childres, Courtney Brown, and Caitlin Brown, as well as four great-grandchildren, Karenza, Arya, Colt, and Cash. Sue also leaves behind a long list of other family members and friends who will all greatly Miss Momma Sue.

Aunt Sue and Uncle Leon came up through Massachusetts to go to the cemetery to see where her sister was laid to rest.
I was lucky enough to get to see them a couple hours before they hopped back out for home.
