Carmen G. Battisti was born on July 31, 1924 in Quebec, Canada and passed away peacefully in her home in Merced, California. She worked in retail sales and retired from FEDCO in 1989, in San Diego, California. Carmen moved to Merced and then worked in merchandising for American Greetings. She was a member of Christian Life Center here in Merced and the Friday Night Bingo Club. Carmen was crazy about hockey and loved to go watch the San Jose Sharks anytime she was able.
Carmen G. is preceded in death by her husband Carmen J. and her two daughters, Gail and Geri. She is survived by her daughter Sylvia of Austin, Texas and her son Chris of Merced, California; her brother Gaston Bourbeau of Quebec, Canada; along with 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Carmen’s family would love to thank all the nurses and caregivers on the 6th floor at Mercy Hospital, along with Merced Nursing and Rehab and Bristol Hospice for their wonderful care for Carmen once she was home
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, located at 1490 B Street, Merced, California.
