Ruth Garcia

Ruth Garcia, 74, of Merced, CA, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2023. She was born on December 14, 1948, in Houston, Texas. Ruth was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Ruth is survived by her son Joe Garza (Martha), daughter Andrea Goncalves (Frank), son Jesse Daniel Garza (Devina), grandchildren Ran-di, Kayla (Christopher), Joey (Rachel), Juaglyne, Anjoleena, Maddie, and great-granddaughter Zoe. She is also survived by her sisters Gloria, Rosalinda, Mary, and brother Manuel.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Ignatius Rudy Garcia, brother Lino Rodriguez, and grandson Michael Goncalves. Ruth had a successful ca-reer as an insurance agent, working for many years with Farmers Insurance, Zentner, Heffner, and Rucker agencies. She was known for her expertise and dedication to her profession.

In her free time, Ruth enjoyed traveling with her husband had a passion for dancing. She also adored her chihuahuas, who brought her great joy and companionship.

A funeral service for Ruth will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Our Lady of Mercy Church. The Rosary will begin at 10:30 AM, followed by mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park in Merced. The Stratford Evans Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

Ruth Garcia will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
