She was preceded by her husband Charles Bernard Torgler; parents Dorothy and Orville Spencer; and brother Lawrence Spencer.
Doralee leaves behind three sons; Jim Torgler, Orlando, Fl., Chuck Torgler (Linda Lee), Cape Canaveral, Fl., and Dan Torgler (Virginia), Orlando, Fl.; and a daughter Marianne Torgler, LaBelle, Fl. She also leaves two brothers, Norman Spencer (Margie), Homestead, Fl., and Timothy Spencer (Margaret), Lawrenceburg, Tn. She has one sister Pat Finch (John), Bonifay, Fl. She has an Aunt Virginia Killing of Troy, Mi. Doralee was also the very proud grandmother of Jennifer Curry, Michele Mance, Chris, William and Joseph Torgler. She also had seven greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Doralee worked for Brevard County for 20 years. She was very involved in her children’s educations and sports activities. She helped organize the YMCA Indian Maidens for Brevard County and was the first Chief. She was President of the PTA at Audubon Elementary School and East Merritt Island Little League. She was the official score keeper for the Babe Ruth League for many years. She helped organize the Organization for Children with Learning Disabilities.
Though Doralee’s accomplishments were many, what brought her the most joy in life was her large circle of friends and family and her long and happy marriage to Bernie.
The viewing and service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 1pm in the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge.
