Margit “Margaret” Csatari Vidacs, age 83, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, August 4, 2019, in Merritt Island, Florida with her daughter by her side. Born November 6, 1935, in Tatabánya, Hungary, Margaret fled Hungary during the 1956 revolution and made a life in Fort Wayne, Indiana becoming a U.S. Citizen in 1962. Later, Margaret relocated to Palm Bay, Florida to be close to her family. She loved learning, classical music, cooking, a good sense of humor and gardening. Margaret was a master gardener that surrounded her home with local flora. She cultivated it over the years to create a magical garden that has brought many people joy and symbolized the thoughtful, hard-working, and resourceful gardener and person she was.
Margaret’s family extends immense gratitude to her best friend, Cheryle Johnson and the Melbourne Garden Club for their support in her final days. Special thanks to her longtime companion James Markin for calling every day.
Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Leslie Vidacs and is survived by her daughter, Barbara Vidacs, her grand-daughter, Vanessa Vidacs, her great grand-daughter Kesi Jackson, and her sisters, Ida Kocsis and Irene Manahan. She also leaves many more family and friends who will miss her dearly. A celebration of life will be held in Margaret’s garden on Saturday, August 10, from 12-2 PM at 500 Aviation Avenue NE, Palm Bay, Florida. I only had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Margaret for a short time, however, that’s all it took for her to make a mark on my heart. She was an incredibly special lady and it was an honor to get to know her. My heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and anyone else who was lucky enough to have her in their life.

I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. She is now in the most beautiful garden of all...singing and dancing...and smiling down on you.

When we worked together @ Lowes she always said what she thought! One night she called me "dumbass" because a box fell on my head and left a nasty cut.....every time I see the scar.....I think of Margaret....loved going to her house to see her plants also.
