Faye was born on May 15, 1925 in New Orleans, LA to Ora Elizabeth Marion and William Curtis Carlton. Faye is survived by her son, Robert Michael Eddy and daughter Joni Watson; sisters Frankie Sollman and Wilma Carlton; grandson Miles Watson and nieces who admired her in many ways.
Faye lived her life to its fullest. She served in the US Army during WWII. She was curious and adventurous, traveling and exploring the US beginning at an early age and an avid reader well into her 90’s. She loved to tend to a garden, any plant flourished in her care. She worked throughout her life and continued to work part time or volunteer long after retirement. Her professional sales persona, and an eye for style developed early in her career, resonated throughout her life and work. She truly enjoyed working and the interaction with people - she never wanted to stop.
Mom, we learned a lot from you. Love Joni & Mike
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations in memory of Oma De Faye Lacore to the American Cancer Society, an organization that provided support to Faye, a cancer survivor three times.
