Eric Joseph Harvey went to be with his Lord January 4, 2019. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Eric is preceded in death by his grandmother, Lillian Finke, grandparents Albert and Rowana Harvey, and his aunt Tootsie. Eric is survived by his best friend, and love of his life, Jamie Burnaman Harvey, wife of 26 years, his two sons, Payton Joseph and Tanner James Harvey, his brother Tim Harvey, sister-in- law Rebecca Harvey, three nieces Grace, Maelin and Eva Harvey, mother Pat Harvey Kirspel and stepfather Larry Kirspel, father Francis Harvey, aunt Betty, aunt Belinda, a cousin Glen, father-in-law Bob Burnaman, mother-in-law Patty Burnaman, sister-in-law Tara Burnaman, along with numerous cousins, and family members.
Eric had a passion for cooking, gardening, hunting, fishing, laughing and making others laugh. His greatest passion was being a family man; a husband that adored “his Jamie” and a proud father of Payton and Tanner. His other best friend is his brother, Tim, who he spoke to several times a day.
Eric never met a stranger, and enjoyed his life to the fullest. He leaves our hearts full of happiness, love and laughter.
A Catholic Mass and Visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana on January 11, 2019. Visitation from 9am to 11am with Catholic Mass beginning at 11am. A Committal service will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Spruce St., New Orleans, Louisiana.
