On Sunday, November 22, 2020, Alberto (Carmelo Jesús de la Caridad Ramón) de Ribeaux Sandoval passed away quietly in his Miami Beach home at the age of 83. He will be lovingly remembered by his cherished sister Gertrudis, brother-in-law Ranulfo Borges, sister-in-law Clara de Ribeaux, all his cousins, and his adoring nieces and nephews – Pepito, Pancho, Reyner, Clara, Eugenio, Fernando, Juan, Ana, Fifa, BT, Eddy, and Teresita,– and their spouses, children, and grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sisters Josefa Borges and Elvira Trujillo, brother Eugenio, and brother-in-law José Trujillo.
Alberto was born in Matanzas, Cuba, to Alberto de Ribeaux Figuera and Josefa Sandoval de Vera on July 16, 1937. He is remembered as someone with a deep and active Catholic faith, a good and generous heart, and an ever-present smile. He was always ready with a positive and affirming comment. He lavished love and goodies on his sobrinos, wise counsel to his siblings and in-laws, and great devotion to his ferociously faithful dog, Cuquita. Alberto studied psychology and spent a career in insurance and accounting services.
Visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 Bird Rd., Miami, FL, from 6 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 11691 NW 25th St, Doral, FL 33172. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th St, Doral, FL.
