Myra will be deeply missed by her children Sheri Davis (Barry), Gary Shear (Dana), grandchildren Aaron (Julie), Amanda, Myles, Brett, great granddaughter Caroline and her life partner Brad Walters.
Myra was born October 3, 1932 in Everett, Massachusetts to Marcia and Oscar Gerson. She was worldly, charming, smart, ambitious, witty, and family oriented.
As a business woman, she started and ran a corporation hat grew to hundreds of employees and she was one of the first women in the country to take a corporation public. She travelled the world, and acquired an appreciation for fine antique jewelry, that she also turned into a successful business. She loved to play bridge, and achieved the coveted “life master” status. She also participated in numerous charities including the Jewish Federation, and proudly wore her Lion of Judah pin.
Myra had many friends and loved to dance and entertain. But perhaps her greatest joy and achievement in life was her wonderful family that she loved and adored with all her heart. She was a doer and had a marvelous zest for life.
Our hearts are heavy, but we are fortunate to have had such a wonderful woman in our lives for many cherished years of travel, holidays, and joyous occasions together.
